What are forced logouts? What is the Update Available notification?
A forced logout is when you get logged out from your Cloud account involuntarily.
However, don’t worry, because this does not mean that you will be permanently logged out from your account. You can simply type in your credentials again and log into your account.
When do forced logouts happen? And why do they happen?
Forced logouts occur when klikit releases updated versions of the Cloud app. This is done to ensure that the klikit Cloud app updates push through successfully and would not disrupt any activities that the customer may be doing in the app (i.e., menu or price edits) during the update. Furthermore, the forced logouts prevent the occurrence of white screens during the update.
How will I know if a new update is coming? What is the Update Available Notification?
Your respective Customer Success Manager will keep you posted or you will receive a pop-up whenever there is a new available update for the klikit app.
Once you’ve clicked/pressed on the update button and have updated the app, make sure to:
1. Clear Cache
2. Clear Storage
3. Force Stop the App
This allows for the app to maintain all changes made through the update.
